Virginia Tech shootings, nine years later: "It doesn't get any easier"

Yesterday was the 9 year anniversary of the deadliest mass shooting in our nation’s history. The shooting at Virginia Tech claimed the lives of 32 Americans and wounded 17 others.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of their loved ones.

“Nine years after 32 people were killed by a deranged student at Virginia Tech, bells tolled on a postcard-pretty spring morning at Capitol Square and a father reflected on his grief.

“ ‘It doesn’t get any easier,’ said Greg Gwaltney of Chester, whose son, Matt, was among the victims on April 16, 2007, when Seung-Hui Cho went on a meticulously planned shooting rampage. Matt, a graduate student in civil engineering, was one of three only children killed that day.”
