NCGV Survivor Advocates Circle
The Survivor Advocates Circle at North Carolinians Against Gun Violence was created to provide safe and supportive spaces for survivors of gun violence across the state of North Carolina: whether someone you know was taken or injured by gun violence, or if you witnessed or experienced violence yourself.
NCGV welcomes anyone who personally identifies as a survivor
Virtual gatherings
Join in community and share information about work across the state. Each meeting includes dedicated time for survivors to share experiences and resources as well as ask questions.
Trauma-informed
Survivors are supported in however they are able to show up to the meeting. We strive to center survivor stories and input at each meeting to offer support and healing.
Advocacy opportunities
Opportunities for survivors who are interested in policy advocacy include virtual storytelling training for advocacy, inviting survivor advocates to join annual Advocacy Day at the General Assembly, and serving on NCGV boards.
We invite you to join us. Until then, we are holding you and your loved ones close in our hearts and in our work.
