Thank You, Commissioner Troxler

For decades, no one has been allowed to bring a gun to the NC State Fair.  But a group is planning to sue to change that.  The Commissioner of Agriculture, Steve Troxler, said that he would keep guns off of state fairgrounds this year.

Please sign the thank you note to Commissioner Troxler for committing to keep the state fair gun-free.

Dear Commissioner Troxler:

Thank you for keeping the ban on concealed weapons at the NC State Fair.  Everyone should feel safe at our state fairgrounds.  We hope that people will listen to your message to leave their guns in the car or at home so that everyone can have a safe time at the fair.

Thanks again,

Too many Republicans will do whatever the gun lobby says. I’m a Republican, and I think that’s wrong. I’m glad that you agree with me.

if folks are so scared to go to the fair without a gun then please stay at home. Being so fearful can only cause potential danger to others.

With the current state of things in this country, I was surprised that the judge upheld the restriction of guns at the state fair. It has given me some hope. Thank you, Mr. Troxler, for fighting to keep our Fair and our public spaces free of guns.

    Sincerely,

    Melissa (Rooney)

Thank You for restricting the carry of lethal weapons at the NC State Fair. I agree with Judge Stephens that the loss of participation and revenue from visitors who would choose to avoid the State Fair due to the unregulated carry of guns there is simply chilling. I would have stayed home had the “guns everywhere” faction in our state bullied its way into our state fair. Thank You Commissioner Troxler.
